"Seated Female Nude -- Kapow!"

Small but mighty 8" x 8" multi-media painted piece reveals a relaxed female nude -- floating yet anchored in the space. The form is acrylic on a gessoed area of the raw canvas; her hair was created with thread along with the surrounding details. She is adorned with both wooden and glass beads that serve as her earrings and bracelet. The "Kapow" iron-on is a reflection of societal-contemporary-norms where the female nude is concerned—housed in an ebony, wooden floater frame.

"The nakedness of woman is the work of God." -William Blake.
